I’m starting to be outnumbered by things with lots of legs

You going to take the offer?

One thing I was told when I got my offer in June, “you owe your current job nothing.” It was a necessary reminder because my offer featured a raise, a bonus (something I didn’t have) and more potential for growth. I still balked because I don’t like change, I would leave the team shorthanded since most of what I done was unknown to others and I made it personal.

I’m happier right now. It’s bring your dog to work day.

Also, fuck yeah.

Yea I’m going to take it. It goes beyond just leaving them short handed but completely void of anyone doing my work. I have something like 5 projects that are still in design and another 10 that might get calls with questions or need minor changes. There is only 1 other drafter and he doesn’t use either program I do.

I know the feeling, though. I was the go to for our daily ops...had to make step by step instructions before I left. Thing is, they’ll manage. Gotta look out for number 1...and the family.

All this and I still get to avoid traffic on my commute, altho I’ll be doing a lot of site visits in a Scion xB, with red and purple wrap and the company logo in giant letters.

I messed up my math too. I thought I made more than I do here, so its closer to a 15-20% raise. I feel like it will be more hours tho, and its salary, not hourly, so that % will probably come down a little when you do that math out.

Have you gotten any good dash footage yet? What are you doing at the new job?

You saw my new commute, I’m sure haha. At least those miles get thrown on the box instead of the rex.

Math is hard.

Haven’t gotten the dashcam on yet. After I got the car back I traveled for work and got back Wednesday night. Been busy since (got an add a fuse so want to make sure it’s done right haha).

Slowly working my way into understanding the company and our spend. I’m part of the procurement team for a natural pet food company. You could figure it out pretty easily if you’re really curious. Should be good stuff, got some big projects already so I may be able to make a splash.

I was given a new project just before my boss left so I have plenty to do. I’m building a model in sketchup for a 2 car garage with attached 2600 sq ft house.
